It was an interesting day. We started out to get the oil changed in the truck. A regen started right after we left so I started driving. We ended up a Zilker park, a place I'd always wanted to stop at. It's a 360 acre park with all sorts of things in it including as narrow gauge railroad. One side is bordered by Barton springs and the other by town lake.
Apparently dogs are allowed off leash in some parts of the park. Lucy had already run at Circle-C, so we just took her to the outlet of the springs. It was too shallow to swim, but she got to wade. She might be able to swim on the town lake side.
After that the regen was over, so we went and got the oil changed. We stopped at Academy, but they didn't have the gun rack I wanted. Then we went home because it was too hot to park the dog.
When we got home we put the hitch in the truck. Step 1 in the trip preparations. A little later we went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of food.
