We didn't get out of bed today until almost 11. Then it was pet stuff and breakfast. After that I was feeling guilty, so I went out to do a bunch of little errands. I took out the garbage and recycle and put out the cans. Then I put a coat of paint on a target. I fixed a bird feeder that the squirrels had broken and replaced another with a feeder we'd purchased a few weeks ago. Then I filled the plastic containers with sacks of birdseed. Finally I taped the TexTag to the Audi windshield and put the new license sticker on the truck window. I want to make sure that the TexTag doesn't screw with any of the Audi's window sensors before I permanently attach it.
At that point I'd run out of things to do, so I surfed a little and then had a late lunch. The weather was OK, but I didn't feel like driving anywhere. The rest of the afternoon was reading and surfing and a minor trip to PC hell. I decided I wanted Mahjong on my Windows machines. I started looking on Amazon, but then I dimly remembered that I'd bought a Mahjong program years ago. I went searching for it and found it.
It took awhile to find the reader and get it hooked up. Once I loaded the disk I had to wait for 10 or 15 minutes while the virus scan scanned it. I couldn't get the goddamn thing to abort the scan. Eventually I got t installed and it actually ran. This is an OLD program and Windows as to run it in compatibility mode. That means it runs slow, but it's totally workable.
I took a break from this to do my exercises and take the dog to the mailbox. Then I copied the install CD to a thumb drive and installed Mahjong on my laptop and the new notebook. It works fine on all of them, except it runs full screen and not in a window. That's probably how the program was designed.
After that it was time for dinner - Ellen fixed fish burgers. Then I read while she watched TV. At least it was a Jackie Chan movie instead of a chick flick.
