I woke up a little before 8 and surfed until 8:30. Then it was pet stuff and breakfast. When Ellen was finished we went to ACE to buy the hardware I needed to complete the bathroom door. Of course they had everything I needed, and it cost $8 instead of $35 from Amazon.
When we got home I went out to the garage to work on the door. I used the washers I bought to finally bolt the wheels to the door. Then I had Ellen show me where she wanted the door handles. I very carefully measured it out and cut the hole on one side of the door. I used the Dremel. Why does just about any project I do involve the Dremel?
It took some fine tuning, but the handle fit the hole I cut perfectly. By then it was almost 1, so I went in and had lunch. After lunch I didn't really feel like going back outside, so I surfed for a couple of hours. That recharged me and I went out and cut the second hole in the door. That went quicker because I knew what to do. When I was finished they lined up perfectly. Then I drilled the screw holes and attached the door handle (the second one isn't here yet). Everything lined up.
There were only two problems. First, two of the screws that I bought are too short. I'll need the right ones before I can attach the second handle. Second, I munged up the door in some places and Ellen will have to do some touch up.
When I finished with the door I did my exercises and took the dog to the mailbox. Dinner was leftover Kung Pao.
The evening was TV and reading.
