Day 875

It was a long night.  I didn't get to bed until 12.  About 12:30 a heavy thunderstorm moved in - dark red on the radar.  There was heavy rain, loud thunder and frequent flashes of lightning that lit up the room.  I let the dog up on the bed, and Fletcher came in to hide under the covers.  The fireworks died down about 4, but they never quit.

I got up at 9:30.  It was still storming, but much less.  It rained 2.9 inches in about 12 hours.  I did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  The power had glitched during the night, so I had to reset the oven and microwave clocks.  I also had to restart the picture frame.  There was so much crap on the antique table that I couldn't find the remote.  I decided to clean it off.  That took awhile.  I also realized that the weather radio wasn't working.  It wasn't plugged in.  It also needed new batteries.  Now it's fine.

After that I was going to tackle the wifi.  That's when I found out that the password Ellen gave me for the old computer didn't work.  I called her and verified that I had the right one.  It turns out she changed the password and doesn't know what she changed it to.  Dumbass.  I may be able to use my old computer, but it will need anti-virus installed.  That will have to wait until Ellen gets back.

That pretty much ended my accomplishments for the day except for taking out the garbage and putting out the cans.  After lunch I took Lucy to Circle C.  Everything was soaking wet.  Yesterday Slaughter Creek was dry.  Today it's running swift, about halfway up the park bridge.  I also stopped at HEB to get lunch meat and the post office.

There were 20, yes 20, proxy statements in the mailbox.  When I got home I spent quite awhile opening all of them and voting online.  I've probably done close to 40 or 50 so far.  It's getting to be a big pain in the ass.

I did my exercises and took the dog to the mailbox.  Dinner was fish and salad.  After dinner was surfing and TV.  Fletcher was a real pain in the ass when I was poking him tonight.
