I got up about 8:30 after a little surfing. Then it was pet stuff and breakfast. I had originally intended to go shooting today, but I didn't feel like it. I felt like messing around instead.
I went out to the garage to work on the door. It turns out that I can't put in the handles until I have some more hardware. So I cleaned up some more and then took a look at the fire extinguisher. It was reading empty, but the label said it was rechargeable. I went inside and looked up places to get it recharged. I called one. They said that the manufacturer (First Alert) used proprietary fittings and they couldn't recharge it. Oh well.
After surfing and lunch we left. I was going to the post office first, but traffic on 290 was backed up all the way to 1826. I turned around and went back to Slaughter. That made the first stop Circle C. Lucy did 25 retrieves, which was good given that it was sunny and warm. Then we went to the post office and the fire extinguisher store. Then next stop was the yuppie grocery store. Ellen bought ingredients for Kung Pao chicken. The next stop was the doggie bakery.
I stopped at Home Depot on the way back. They didn't have anything I needed. That's no surprise, they have little in the way of odd hardware. We stopped at Lowe's also. They carried what I needed, but they were sold out of all three items. Crap.
When we got home I replaced the fire extinguisher and surfed until it was time for exercise and mailbox. I looked on Amazon for the hardware I need. It will cost $35 because I have to buy more of each item than I need. Ellen fixed the Kung Pao chicken. It was good, but not very Kung Pao because she bought the wrong sauce.
After dinner I watched a couple of movies on Netflix. I'm tired of reading all of the anti-gun stuff on the web. Tomorrow morning I'll go to ACE to see if I can get the hardware I need.
