Day 161

I boxed up the upper and shipped it off today.  The worst part was finding the UPS store.  Google had it blocks away from where it really was.  After that we went to two estate sales.  The first didn't have much that we were interested in, but we did get some cheap Christmas ornaments for an outdoor tree.  The second was way overpriced.  I knew that before we went, but I wanted to see the neighborhood.  The neighborhood was a disappointment also.

After that we headed to County Line for lunch.  On the way we passed a park by a creek.  So we stopped so Lucy could walk in the park along the creek.  It wasn't deep enough for her to swim in, but she had fun wading in it.  One part of the path was muddy, and Ellen fell on her butt.  No harm done though.

After the park we did make it to County Line.  It was pretty good although a little expensive.  They don't have any worthwhile beers, so I had water.  Ellen had ribs and took half of them home.  After lunch we just drove home.

At home I went out and spent more time laying track.  Today I stopped when it was time to get the mail.  I have 34 feet of track laid.  I'll need to do two things before I can lay more.  First I'll have to remove the old wires that I had left underneath the layout.  I thought I might use them, but now I know I won't.  They are in the way of doing the new wiring.  Second I'll have to make up some track leads with longer wires.  I messed up and didn't make enough of them when I made up all the leads.  I hope I can remember how I did it.
