It was really windy today. It wasn't overly cold, just windy. We were going to go over to Dola's in the afternoon, but she cancelled because Lola got sick.
I spent almost the whole day working on the layout. I replaced all of the short power leads that I thought I needed to with longer ones. After that was done I installed the lower mainline siding. That required lining up the grade up to the plateau. That's when I noticed that I'll probably have to replace a few more leads. Sigh. I do have a little over half the track laid now.
Building new leads and installing them took a long time. Lining up the siding took more time. It was about 5 when I was done, but I really wanted to do more. So I scared up the retaining walls I bought years age. I needed to cut 8 of them and then glue them together in pairs. That's really the first scenery that I've done. I'll need to install them at the ends of the viaducts before I can finish laying the track.
I'll probably try to do more tomorrow, but I'm really tired of making up leads.
