Day 167

Happy birthday to us.  Ellen's now qualified for old people's discount.

We got up early and went to a promising estate sale.  It was good.  I bought a whole bunch of tools for the club.  We also bought a really nice framed pheasant photo which we'll give to the club.

After that we went to Redbud to let Lucy swim.  The water there was yucky, so we went to Zilker.  The water there was yucky, so we went to Auditorium Shores.  The water there was yucky, so Lucy didn't get to swim.  Both she and the two of us were really disappointed.  I threw 10 land retrieves for her, but that's as much as I wanted to do.

We stopped at the trailer park up the street from the Torchy's one for lunch.  The taco truck there had really good tacos.  There was a donut truck, but we couldn't bring ourselves to pay $4.50 for a donut.

We went to the ice cream place at Circle C for dessert.  Then we went to HEB to buy some needed groceries.  We bought bacon wrapped scallops for dinner and a birthday cake.

When we got home I sorted out all of the tools I bought and added some extras that I had.  They all went into the basement in the trailer.  I didn't do any work on the layout because it was just too hot (80+).  Instead I wrote Dave an email about the tools and sorted through some more train electrical parts that I ran across today.  Unfortunately I don't think any of them will be useful.

Ellen traegerized the scallops and they were really good.  So was the cake.
