Day 173

I was a little burnt out on working on the layout, so I decided not to do anything on it today.  I didn't want to do absolutely nothing, so I went in search of paint.

I stopped by Hobby Lobby and got some paint for the retaining walls on the layout.  I also stopped at Harbor Freight, mainly because I was there.  I saw a couple of things on sale that Dave might want, so I emailed Ellen about them.  I also went to the thrift shop next door, but they didn't have any books on tape.

I went to Lowe's for some paint for the AC frame.  They didn't have any gray paint.  So I went to Home Depot and they did.  Interesting note.  Hobby Lobby had a 30% off sale on their spray paint.  It was still more expensive than Home Depot's normal price.

My last stop was Randall's to get something for dinner.  I ended up with a couple of things.  On the way home I stopped at Circle C for Lucy.  It was really windy, but not very cold.  It was a great temperature for Lucy and she ran around quite a bit.

When we got home I painted the pieces for the AC frame and then painted the retaining walls.  The retaining walls took some time.  It took some effort to get paint into all of the crevices in the brickwork.  Then it was surfing until dinner.

After dinner I put a second coat on the AC frame.  It needed it.  Tomorrow I'll paint the other side.
