Day 483

I got up at 7:30 with the alarm, but it wasn't easy.  I hadn't got to bed until 12:30.  I did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Hooch's family showed up at 8:30 and had breakfast.  It was cold, about 48.  That kind of ruled out doing any sightseeing outside.

We sat around for awhile debating what to do for half a day.  We ended up playing basketball while Martha did wash and packed.  We played for a couple of hours.  I'm sore tonight, and I think that's why.

The kids wanted to go to the trampoline place again.  That was looking like a possibility until Hooch suggested going for moon pies.  So we drove there instead.  Ellen and I took our car, which made Lucy very happy.

When we got to Mickelwaite's we decided to buy 12 pies, 8 for Hooch and 4 for us.  Unfortunately someone had got there before us and they only had 4 left.  So we bought those.  They also threw in 2 mini-pies for free.  After that it was getting a little late, so we drove to Red's Porch for lunch.  They liked the food and the view.  We finished lunch just when it was time to leave for the airport.

We said goodbye in the parking lot.  I'm sure glad they came down.

We went to the post office after leaving Red's.  The we ran the dog at the soccer field.  She did 28 really long retrieves.  After that we went home.  I was tired, sleepy, and sore.

When we got home we took the sheets off the beds in the apartment and put them in the wash.  Then we both sat down in the recliners.  I took a 1 - 2 hour nap.  I got up about 5 and cleaned up the kitchen.  There was garbage to be taken out, food to be put away, and all of the counters needed scrubbing.  Then it was back to the recliner.

Dinner was Ramen and chocolate cake.  We still have half the cake left, but it's getting stale.  Ellen took the laundry back to the apartment and made the beds.  I was too tired/sore to help.

The rest of the evening was reading and watching shooting shows on TV.
