I just turned over when the alarm went off and woke up again at 8:45. There had been a loud thunderstorm starting at 4. We got an inch of rain. I needed to make up the sleep.
After some surfing I got up, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast. We both started the wash. Then I got a RMA for the upper that I wanted to return and boxed it up. At least it won't cost me anything as long as I use DVOR credit - and I will. I also got out Ellen's DMC and put it in the holster that came yesterday. It fits perfectly. The holster has a lot of adjustments which should make it easy for Ellen to use.
One of the first emails that I wrote listed a 1 day sale on the barrel I want to do on my build. I decided that I might as well buy the rest of the stuff I needed. That launched an all day search for the best prices.
I eventually ordered a barrel, BCG, charging handle, gas block, gas tube, and muzzle device. I used three different companies. It looks like the build is going to cost $1,525. That's not including a SSA-E trigger if I decide to install one.
That process did take most of the day. I did leave about 1 for errands. I ran the dog at Circle C. It was cool (below 60) and she did over 40 retrieves. I finally called a halt. Then I stopped at HEB for a few things. I also got a sandwich there. It was good and not very expensive. Everyone there was buying valentine day stuff. The last stop was the post office.
Late in the afternoon I took the dog to the mailbox and then did my exercises.
The evening was surfing and TV.
