This was a milestone I never wanted to see. Hopefully we'll be out of here in another 9 weeks.
There was a pretty good thunderstorm last night starting about 11:30. I put the car in the garage because the weather radio said there would be large hail. We didn't get any hail, but we got about 1.5 inches of rain along with lots of lightning and thunder. I went to sleep while it was still going on.
I turned over when the alarm went off and slept for about 20 minutes. When I woke up again I decided that wasn't long enough and went back to sleep for another 20 minutes. Then it was a short surfing session before getting up for pet stuff and breakfast.
After breakfast I decided it was time for some construction. I went to the garage and built the AR-10 upper. It went really well. I would have finished it completely, except the muzzle break is stuck in the post office due to gopher cum day.
I finished with the the upper about noon. After lunch and some surfing I decided to work on the two short guns. I put BUIS on both and used the laser sight I got at Christmas to sight them in (BUIS and holo sight). They are ready to go to the range.
After that I did my exercises.
The rest of the day was surfing, dinner, and more surfing with a little reading mixed in for variety.
