Day 495

I did turn over and go back to sleep today, but only for about 45 minutes.  Then it was some surfing, but I was out of bed by 9.  Then it was pet stuff, take the recycling out, and breakfast.

After that I did some more surfing.  I did want to accomplish something today, so about 11 I went out to start building the lower.  I didn't get very far.  I spent about an hour making a vice holder out of a 2x4.  I used the router.  It mad a horrendous mess, but the result worked well.  When I was finished I did my exercises and then went back to the house for lunch.

After lunch the dog and I went out for errands.  I stopped at Walgreen's to get some valentine's candy on sale for Ellen.  Then I stopped at HEB for toilet paper and diapers.  Ellen needs them.  Then it was the post office and the soccer field.  Lucy did 30 really long retrieves.  I made her stop.  I don't want her to kill herself.  The final stops were home Depot and Lowe's for a 4-40 set screw.  Neither place had one.

I didn't get home until about 4.  I went out to the garage to start the build.  While the lower was similar to the smaller one, putting it together was different.  The only parts that were exactly the same were the magazine release and the buffer tube assembly.  All in all it was easier and requires less tools.  That figures, since I now have some really spiffy new ones that I didn't need.

I was finished by 6 and went back to the house for dinner.  After dinner I read and watched a little TV.

Ellen has been having a hard time of it today.  She hurts and has had several accidents.  About 7:30 she gave up, took a shower, and went to bed.  She's watching TV and surfing right now.
