I woke up with the alarm, went back to sleep, and woke up 15 minutes later. Then it was surfing for awhile before getting up to do the pet stuff and have breakfast. Then I surfed until about 10.
Ellen was feeling pretty good, so she came with me to Bastrop. The dog did, too. I picked up the rifle. Hwy 71 was backed up going into town, so we took a back way into town. I was planning on going to a state park with a waterfall. Unfortunately traffic was backed up onto the highway. Apparently it's crowded on the weekends.
We stopped at a school ground so Lucy could do some retrieves. On the 11th retrieve the bumper bounced on the grass, off a hill, into a gutter, and down a sewer. There was no way to get it, so that was the end of retrieves.
On the way back to town the road we were on intersected with the end of William Cannon, and later the end of Slaughter. It's interesting to see the east ends of those two roads.
We stopped at The Range. It's open, but not complete. It's an impressive place. They had a STI Tactical, the pistol I saw at the Shot Show and wanted. They had a so-so price on it, so I bought it. Apparently only "elite" vendors can stock them.
We stopped at the post office. One of the AR-10 parts orders was there. Then we went to lunch at the Italian place. I had a sandwich, Ellen had a big bowl of chicken and pasta, and Lucy had some treats. Afterwards we went to Tomlinson's so Lucy could have more treats. The last stop was Wells Cargo for money. It's the first time we've needed cash since we got some before going to Las Vegas.
Ellen did good today, no sudden urges to shit. About half an hour after we got home they started. She's been in and out of the bathroom frequently from about 4:30 until 9. She says it's better than yesterday though.
I spent the rest of the afternoon surfing. At 5 I took the dog to the mailbox and did my exercises. There was a box at the gate with more parts. They hadn't sealed it well and it had come open. The post office had held it together with a rubber band. Luckily everything was in the box and undamaged.
The evening was surfing, reading and TV.
