We got up at 8 today, did the pet stuff, had breakfast, and left to do the wash.
The wash was uneventful. When it was done we left for Portland. The traffic was really light going up, probably the lightest I've ever seen. That was fine with me.
We left Lucy at the vet and went to see mother. We met her and the person who takes her on walks at the front door. We decided to go with them. We didn't get very far, maybe 100 yds at most. Mom said she couldn't walk anymore and so the attendant used her walker as a wheelchair and we went to the 5th floor restaurant.
We had a long lunch up there. Julia was home and we needed to wait on the vet. So we ate lunch and then sat in the restaurant. Mom was pretty alert and we actually got her to talk a little. About 2 we took her back to her room and sat for awhile until the vet called. Then we left.
We picked up the dog and then drove to Hooch's. We stopped on the way and got Martha pie and ice cream.
Hooch and Martha fixed dinner - BBQ and the corn that we'd brought. After dinner the kids insisted that I play video games with them so that they could beat me.
We left about 9:30. Again, traffic was light and we made good time. We also made great mileage - 37.
When we got home we put everything away, made the bed, and went to sleep.
