Day 32

It was a pretty productive day.  The sun was shining, but it wasn't too hot, about 70.

I started the day by trying to get our wireless printer to talk to my computer.  It wasn't going to happen.  The driver can see the printer, but the OS can't.  Let's hear it for Microsoft.  After wasting a lot of time on that I decided to just connect to the printer with USB.  Tha works.

I printed out a passport application.  I need to get a picture.  I also wrote a cover letter and boxed up the Solo.  We're going to have to drive most of the way to Capitol to ship it.  All this took until about 11:30.

Because it was such a nice day I decided to finish the edging.  I also straightened out all of the yard ornaments and cut the tree branches that were interfering with them.

The second battery charger declared the mower battery dead, so I decided to replace it.  But first it was time for a doggy day.  So far Texas has sucked as far as Lucy is concerned.  We took her to Circle C and let her swim.  She had a great time.  It left her damp for when we left her in the car (it was sunny).

It took three places (Costco, Wally World, and Batteries Plus) before I found an appropriate replacement battery.  I settled for one that was almost the same as the one I had.  It was a little taller, which worried me aboiut whether or not it would fit.

When  got the battery home I put it in the mower.  It fits and cranks the motor (I didn't try to start it).  I put it on the charger to top off it's charge.

That's it for today.  I plan on watching football while Ellen goes to archery.
