Day 33

Today was a nice day - about 75 and sunny.  I started out wanting to mow the lawn, but first I had to mail the Solo.  We drove over to the Fedex place (25 miles away) and sent it off.  Then Ellen suggested we go to Hopdoddy.  It was a little early, so we ran the dog in a grassy area across from Fedex.  From her point of view it was a park.  Then we drove over to Hopdoddy.

We got there a little before 11:30.  It was great timing.  We ordered and before we got our food the hordes started arriving.  By the time we left a little after 12 the place was packed and there was a line out the door.  I had a beer while we were there, so when we left I was no longer interested in mowing lawns.

We stopped at the toy store in the same mall, but there wasn't anything we wanted.  Then we went to the camera shop.  I saw both the Nikon and the Canon.  They are really similar.  I probably choose based on whether or not my flash works with the new Nikon.

After that we stopped by McBride's.  We had a good talk with one of the guys there that runs the reloading room.  He was fun.  I saw a couple of used guns that I might have bought except Ellen was acting bitchy about it.

The gate had given us problems on the way out, but worked OK when we returned.  It wouldn't work at all when I went out to get the mail.  I spent some time in the dark debugging it.  It looks like it needs a new battery.  Of course it's a weird one, so I'll be searching for it tomorrow.

While I was on batteries I replaced the batteries in the two dead clocks in the shop.  Neither one worked.  Oh well.

Now it's time for football.
