Day 522

The alarm woke me up, I turned it off, and went back to sleep for about an hour  Then it was a little surfing before getting up, doing the pet stuff, and breakfast.  The BBQ place wasn't open until 11, so we surfed for awhile before leaving.

We got to the BBQ place a little before 11. There was a line of about a dozen people in front of us.  Nobody seemed to want moon pies.  When it was our turn we ordered 6.  That's all they had.  They boxed them up for us and we left.

We stopped at the post office on the way to Bee Cave.  We took a side road from the post office to the parkway that we'd never been on before.  It was fast and convenient.

When we got to the post office we went to the jewelry store.  They had cool stuff, but nothing that was just right.  Much of their stuff was rings.  Ellen did find a pair of earrings that she liked.  They were made of black steel, and she wanted palladium.  They said they could make a pair in 4 weeks, so we ordered them - a little matter of $3,000.

After that we had lunch at a cafe I'd seen yesterday.  It was great.  Dessert was key lime ice cream at Amy's.  Then we went home.

I spent a little over an hour moving gravel.  I got about 12 feet more done.  At least half the pile has been moved now, maybe more.

I took the dog to the mailbox and then took a shower.  I surfed for awhile and then went out to replace the bulb in the yard light.  Then it was dinner and surfing.

Unfortunately the yard light didn't go on when it got dark.  I was afraid of that, since it had been working intermittently.  I went out and checked to see that the light had power.  I guess I'll be installing a new light tomorrow.  Sigh.
