Day 535

I got up with the alarm, took a shit, and went back to sleep for an hour.  Then I got up, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast.

After moving gravel for so many days straight I decided today would be a day off.  I got out the SBR, took it to the garage, and lubed it up.  Then I got out the paperwork and the STI.  There was a light cloud cover so I left Lucy at home when I went to Red's.

I had fun at Red's.  I finished sighting in the SBR and shot a few "fun" rounds through it.  It's a really nice gun.  Then I got out the STI and checked it's sights using a rest.  It's pretty much spot on.  I shot about 25 rounds through it before I got tired.  I didn't do well at 15 because I saw two front sights.  It wasn't eye dominance because it was still there when I closed one eye.  I guess I need more astigmatism correction.

After Red's I stopped at the post office and then went home for lunch.  After lunch I took Lucy out to the back.  It was hot again and she only did 12 retrieves.  Then I went to the apartment and did my exercises.  They're a little easier to do than they were a couple of weeks ago.  I'm thinking of extending the times.

The rest of the afternoon was reading and surfing.  I met Lee when I took the dog to the mailbox.  We talked for about an hour.

The evening was more reading and watching a HBO series about the Pacific war that I'd recorded eons ago.  I"m about halfway through it.
