I turned over and went back to sleep after the alarm for about an hour. Then I got up, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast. It was sunny and warm by 9:30 when I went out to move gravel. Luckily there was a strong wind all day. That kept it relatively comfortable.
As I was dumping the first load one of the pins in the cart handle fell out. I couldn't find the latch pin that held it in, so I had to search in the garage for a replacement. I ended up using a cotter pin.
I moved 16 loads in about an hour and a half. That was enough to totally fill in the bottom portion of the parking area level with the purple tree. It looks really nice. I still have enough gravel to cover a little more area. I'll probably surround the river rock area with it. I've decided not to cover the river rock.
I also cut some dead limbs out of the big tree by the parking area. They hung down below the live limbs and bugged me. The tree looks a lot better now.
After I was finished I went inside, took a shower, and did a little surfing. It was too hot to take Lucy, so I went to the post office and HEB alone. I made it up to her when I got back by throwing the bumper in the back. She did 22 retrieves, which was pretty good considering the temperature.
The rest of the afternoon was surfing. I found an estate sale that I really want to go to tomorrow.
After dinner it was some reading, surfing and the gun shows on TV.
