Day 530

When the alarm went off I turned over and went back to sleep for another hour.  Last night was another night where I didn't get very good sleep.  It's annoying, and I'm not sure why I'm not sleeping well.

I got up, did the pet stuff, and had breakfast.  There was very little surfing.  I wanted to get outside before it got hot.

I worked for about an hour and a half, moving 14 loads.  When I was finished most of the side parking area was covered.  I'll be able to finish that part of the parking area tomorrow.  I've made quite a dent in the 9 yds that were delivered.  It will be interesting to see how much I have left after tomorrow.

The weather was OK while I was working except for the one or two times when the sun came out.  Then it was HOT.  Fortunately those intervals were really short.  I'm not sure I could do this, even in the morning, if it was a sunny day.

When I was finished with the gravel I went back inside and took a shower.  Then the surfing started until lunch time.  I ate lunch and then took the dog to Walgreen's.  My drugs cost $.64.  They've always been around $10.  I'm not sure what changed.

The next stop was the soccer field.  Lucy did 25 really long retrieves.  I called a halt then and she didn't argue.  Then it was the post office and home.

Yesterday I got a blurb from a pension company.  I've gotten them before.  I called them.  Apparently I have a pension with Tektronix.  I vaguely remember being eligible for a small one.  Apparently I can start collecting it next year.  I wonder how much it will be.

The rest of the afternoon and evening was surfing.  I'm really spending too much time doing that, but I can't think of anything else to do.  Plus, hauling the gravel in the morning tires me out for most of the rest of the day.  I do need to change something.

I took the dog to the mailbox.  There was a kid sitting at the end of the neighbor's driveway across the street.  Lucy went over to get petting and then disappeared into their woods.  I called, but she didn't come.  I looked down the road and a rabbit ran across it in front of Lee's place headed for Madrone.  A little later Lucy crossed and followed after it.  I went up to the corner lot and called.  Finally she showed up.  I was pissed that she ran off, but proud of the way she tracked the rabbit.

The rest of the day was a lot of surfing (too much), and a little reading and TV.
