I went to sleep for an hour after the alarm went off. When I woke up I didn't surf much and was up before 9. I did the pet stuff, killed some flies, and had breakfast. Then I went outside to work on the sewer outlets.
It was actually pretty easy to dig out the 5 outlets that are near the house. The four on the other side of the yard weren't hard either. I did have to use the clippers to cut some small trees and bushes that were near or over the pipes. I mixed up a gallon of Crossbow and sprayed the whole area by the back outlets. I had a lot left, so I sprayed some of the weeds that I'd sprayed yesterday. I also found a few that I'd missed yesterday.
While I had the clippers out I cut away some low branches that were causing me grief when I mow. There was one tree that had completely rotted away at the bottom. It had a 3 inch trunk and a 1.5 inch trunk. I pulled both over to a space away from the yard.
The whole yard operation took about 2 hours. Then I went inside and took a shower. After that it was lunch time.
The temperature was really comfortable outside with a nice breeze. So I sat outside on the deck and read. Lucy was out there with me. Occasionally a lizard would make an appearance. Lucy would jump up and chase it. Then she'd run around hoping the lizard would come back and play. About 4 it got too hot, so I went inside and surfed.
I had a voicemail from the jewelry store saying Ellen's earrings were done. It was 5, but I decided to go get them anyway. I stopped at the post office first. Traffic was a little heavy from the Y over to William Cannon. Other than that it was OK all the way to Bee Cave. I bought the earrings and went home. It was dinner time and I was really tempted to stop somewhere to eat, but I didn't.
I got home about 6:30 and had dinner. I was really hungry after dinner, and I'm hungry right now. Oh well, that's what starvation is about.
After dinner I watched a show and then a movie.
