Day 1072

We got up at 7.  It was raining hard.  I decided to bag hunting and we stayed in bed surfing.  It was pet stuff and breakfast when we got up.  Then we went to Dan's.  We stopped at the new place that replaced Annie's first.  They totally remodeled the inside.  I ordered a Orange Mocha.  It was great.

When we got to Dan's I immediately started work on the Can Am lights.  I had to fabricate brackets for the dome lights.  That involved a trip to the hardware store and then a lot of time with a hack saw and a bench grinder.  I did part of the wire prep while Dan painted the brackets.  When they dried I epoxied the lights to them.  That worked great.

Patsy fixed clam chowder for lunch.  It was good, I was cold.  We watched the Senate vote to confirm Kavanaugh.  It was great.

After lunch I went out to work some more.  I installed the dome lights.  Then I installed the front lights.  Dan helped me fish the wires for the lights through the firewall.  I stopped when the wires were connected to the lights.  It was windy and cold and my hands weren't working very well.  All that is left is to install the switches and wire everything to power.

Dan called and wanted us to go help friends of his with their TV sound setup.  The problem turned out to be a badly designed set top box from DISH.  The box won't send surround sound to their stereo, only standard audio.  Unfortunately the TV has a coaxial digital output and the sound system uses an optical input.  We ordered a converter from Amazon for them.

After that we went home to feed the animals and have dinner - left over sloppy joes.  After that we went to New Bridge to play bingo.  We won a couple of games and ended up spending 50 cents for the evening.  It was after 10 when we got home.
