Day 1093

We got up about 8:30.  There was no reason to get up earlier because check in at Fredericksburg was noon.  After pet stuff and breakfast we hooked up and left.

We ran into two wrecks.  The first was on 1604.  Unfortunately we didn't get off in time and ended up in a three mile traffic jam.  We were luckier with the one on I10.  We got off just before the jam and drove for several miles on the frontage road.  It didn't cost much time at all.

The rest of the trip was uneventful.  We also got lucky with the safety check for the trailer.  They took it right away and we were out of there relatively quickly.  That allowed us to check in just after noon.

After setting up and having lunch we went to town.  The Amish place was shut, but the jewelry store was open.  We found a new, really expensive, stone to replace the one Ellen broke.  We're going to have the broken one recut.  The whole thing is going to cost a lot.

We walked around town for awhile, and bought a dog picture for John.  Ellen bought a purse.  The town was packed because of the wine and cheese festival.  We left before 5.

Dinner was TV dinners.  The evening was reading, TV, and surfing.
