Day 1087

We got up at 7 mountain time (6 Az time).  We surfed in bed for over an hour.  Then we got up and did the pet stuff.  They were having a pancake and sausage breakfast at the office, so we ate there.  Afterwards we played pinball in their game room.  It was fun.

When pinball was done we took Lucy to the dog park.  I wanted to throw the bumper for her, but there were two dogs there that wouldn't let her retrieve.  So we went back to the trailer.

We ate lunch at the trailer.  Then we went to the trailer dealer.  We looked art a couple of trailers and found one that was really nice.  We told them we'd think about it.  When we got back there were two things that made us not want to buy.  First, we don't have any equity in the current trailer.  I suspect we're under water.  That's because we financed it for 15 years and haven't paid anything more on it.  That means we haven't paid much principal.

The second reason is that we'd really like to have a slightly heavier trailer.  The problem is it would be a strain on the truck.  It would be much better with a new truck.  I don't think we'll buy another trailer until we get a truck.

Maybe another reason is the hassle of going to San Antonio, coming back, and moving out of the current trailer.

After talking about that I went out to drain the tanks.  A neighbor came by to tell me a serioius thunderstorm was coming.  He want to move his rig onto our site so it was covered.  There was plenty of room, so I said yes.  By the time that was finished it was starting to rain.

I ended up draining the tanks in the rain.  I had to suspend the work for awhile twice because it was raining too hard, even under the cover.

The rain showed us that Lucy isn't the reason the bed has been getting wet.  The fan is leaking.  I'll have to fix that when I get home.

When we were finished we surfed until the rain stopped.  Then we went to Fry's for some groceries and QT to top off the tank.  When we got back I backed up the truck to make hitching easy tomorrow.

The rest of the evening was football and surfing.
