We woke up at 8 again, did the pet stuff, had breakfast, and went to the club. Ellen signed us up as single shooters. We shot with a couple of union guys. They were fun. Of course they weren't experienced shooters, but they knew enough to have fun.
I shot really well. The course wasn't particularly hard, but they were hard enough that you had to pay attention. I ended up with a 97. I missed two left to right targets and one right to left. I should have hit the right to left. I won HOA. The next highest score was 92. Ellen won high ladies, so we both got belt buckles.
Unfortunately that was the end of out luck. We didn't win anything in the lottery. We did get to shoot the flurry 3 times, which was what I really wanted to do. By the time we were finished with the third round there was a heat mirage coming off my barrel.
The dinner was really good - a local BBQ place that really knew how to do BBQ. After that we went into the back room and packed a plastic bin with the pistols we're taking to Texas. It ended up completely full and pretty heavy.
We took the bin to the trailer and then went to Wally World for traveling groceries. I stopped at Dutch Brothers for a double espresso. It was good, but a mistake. My body isn't capable of absorbing that much caffeine. When we got home I just sat in the recliner and watched TV. I didn't feel like dinner, just a snack at 8.
The rest of the evening was watching the Dodgers beat San Francisco.
