Day 459

It was back to a normal morning.  The alarm went off at 7:30, I turned over, and woke up again at 8:30.  I surfed for another hour and then got up.  I did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Ellen started the wash.  I also put a vacation hold on the newspaper.

After breakfast we went out to the trailer.  I had Ellen turn on the water while I looked for leaks.  Thankfully I didn't find any.  I did find that a sink drain fitting had come undone.  It had done a little damage, but not much.  The fix was easy.

I had Lola come over.  I showed her how to turn on the heat in the well house.  I also told her to watch for the paper and for damage to the truck shelter.

Ellen and I went through all of the stuff in the bathroom cabinet.  We threw away everything that was out of date.  The oldest expired in 2010.  Most of the stuff expired 2 or 3 years ago.  When we were finished we had a plastic bag filled to the brim.

We went back to the house.  I made a list of stuff we needed to buy, Ellen surfed.  I finished lunch about 1 and was ready to leave when Ellen announced that her bag needed changing.  So we spent the next 2 hours doing that and ordering more supplies.  We finally left about 3.

We stopped at Lowe's to get a magnetic door stop for the trailer.  Then it was Costco for water and Wells Fargo for cash.  When we got to the post office the box was full.  More than half of the mail was credit card offers.  The next stop was HEB where we bought a whole lot of stuff for the trip.  The last stop was Circle C.  Lucy did 28 long retrieves.  That was really good considering the temperature was 80.

While we were at the post office Ellen announced that her bag was leaking.  A new record.  It lasted 2 hours.

When we got home Ellen took a shower and we changed her bag.  While she was doing that I put everything away, shredded all of the credit card offers, went out and did my exercises, and fed the animals.  When the change was finished I went out to the trailer and put away all of the stuff we'd bought.  I also installed the door stop.  It works well, but it's a little stronger than I would have liked.

It was 7:30 by the time I was done.  I went back and ut a pizza in the oven.  I surfed while it cooked.  After dinner we watched TV - two episodes of Dark Matter.  Those were the last ones we can watch until the current season ends.
