We woke up at 7 CST this morning, so it was 6 local time. It was dark and a little cold (52). Everything went fine except that the tires were a little low. I could have left them that way, but I was paranoid. So I got out the compressor and put air in all four tires. I'm sure I woke up some people. We didn't get out until 8:07 (CST) because of that.
The drive to Phoenix was uneventful. Traffic was a little heavier than I thought it would be, but no problem. We stopped for gas at the Shell station just up 60 from 303. We got raped. It was 2.89/gal. That was 50 cents more than it was in Wickenburg.
Our only problem was north of Wickenburg. It's two lane road and some cars had been stacking up behind us because we're going 63 in a 65. I pulled into the slow lane at a passing lane. When it ended, a truck tried to pass me and run me off the road. I just turned into him and forced him into the oncoming lane. Fuck him.
Fuel was expensive at Kingman, but I didn't care. I just wanted to get to Las Vegas ASAP. Ellen's bag was leaking, probably because she let the seat belt ride on it.
The goddamn GPS routed us on the Boulder highway instead of 515. That's 10 miles of stop lights. The only good thing was we got to stop at a Camping World. That let me get a replacement door holder for the one that broke yesterday. I looked at getting a tire monitoring system there, but they wanted more than twice as much as Amazon for it. When we got to the park I confirmed that I could receive Amazon packages. Later in the evening I ordered the system, to be delivered on Wednesday.
We unhooked easily after we parked, but a keeper came off the release handle. I searched for awhile and found it and put it back on. Then I set everything up, including the sewer. After that we changed Ellen's bag. Her pants had shit on them, so we started a load of wash with them and the sweatshirt that Taiko had barfed on yesterday.
While that was going on I went to Wally World. I bought a hook to hang the broom on and some silicon sealer so I could replace the door holder. I would have bought some at Camping World, but they wanted $12 for a tube. I replaced the holder and installed the hook when I got home.
The park doesn't have cable. I tried to raise the antenna, but for some reason it will only go up a couple of inches. Fortunately we're pointed in the right direction to receive the Vegas channels. I'm watching football right now. I'll be going to bed early, PST. It's been a long day.
