I didn't do a writeup yesterday because I didn't get out my computer. We got up at 7, which felt like 5. After breakfast and packing up the trailer we were on the road by 7:45. We were helped by a tailwind on the road, so we got pretty good mileage.
The most notable thing about the trip was that we started a new book on tape. It was highly entertaining. We got about halfway through the book. Fortunately it will be an easy one to pick up on when we finish it in April.
We got lucky at the RV park. Ellen reserved the only available spot yesterday. The only reason one was available was that the people who were supposed to get it broke down. The park has about 1/3 permanent residents and 1/3 winter residents. That leaves very few spots for transients. Ours was nice, one spot from the restrooms.
I wanted to go into Fredericksburg, so we unhooked. The hitch was a pain in the ass. It wouldn't unlatch, and when I pounded on it it would only unlatch half way. I ended up having to move the truck backward and forward to get it to unhook. When it ddi, it was with an easy pull.
That bullshit cost about half an hour, so we didn't get to town until almost 4. Most things closed at 5. We did manage to by Patsy some more hot sauce.
We ate at the trailer and then surfed and watched TV. We changed Ellen's bag just before bedtime. It seemed OK, but she's had it on for a couple of days. I think we finally found the answer. She can't have the seat belt on top of it. She's been using t-shirts to keep it off the bag.
