Day 466

We got up a little before the alarm, about 7:10.  We did all of the morning stuff and then left for the show.  There was a note on the door saying the water connections leaked, so I turned off the water.  We took the back way in, but I'm not sure it gained us much.

When we got to the Sands the road to the parking lot was jammed.  So we parked at the Linq and walked across to the Sands.  Unfortunately we took the wrong sky bridge.  It led to the worker's entrance.  We ended up walking to it, turning around, and then walking to Koval and then to the front entrance.  We would have been much better off parking at the far end of the Linq lot.

When we got inside we met up with Vandy and talked for awhile.  We made some plans for what to look for - trophies and pro shop stuff.  Then we went over to Browning to meet Dave.  He was with the Shoot for a Cure people.  Then we parted ways.  We went downstairs and started walking the aisles.  We saw a couple of interesting things - knives that could be engraved and some environmentally friendly gun cleaning stuff.  After several hours of that we went to the NSSF lounge for lunch.  Unfortunately they were serving really expensive crap from the hotel.  So we walked to the food court.  We waited 10 minutes to order and another 20+ to get our food.  It was good though.

Then we went back downstairs and covered the rest of the lower level.  We didn't find anything for the club, but I talked to a couple of vendors that I liked.

Along the way today we talked to Jason at Briley and ? at Crimson Trace.  His divorce if final now, apparently his wife has gone off the deep end.

We were really tired when we left, and Ellen's bag was beginning to leak.  We walked out the back of the Sands and across to the Linq.  If we had known about this way in the morning we could have saved ourselves at least half a mile of walking.  Traffic was really fucked.  It took better than half an hour to get out of the parking lot and down Koval to Flamingo.  Flamingo wasn't bad on the way back except for a couple of spots.

The crap wasn't done.  The guy at the entrance to the park told us one of the headlights was burned out.  Ellen went for a shower and I fixed the hose.  It took a bunch of rearranging, but it doesn't leak now.  While Ellen was messing with her bag I went out and looked at the truck.  Changing the bulb is going to be a pain in the ass.

I called a nearby Autozone and they had a bulb.  So after the bag change I went there and bought it.  I also got us dinner from Popeye's.

After that it was surfing until it was time to go to bed.
