Day 1362

We got up about 8, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  After that I went to CVS to get drugs.  Then I went to Lenscrafters to get glasses for the operation.  They have a planar left lens and my prescription in the right lens.

By then I was getting second thoughts about fixed lenses.  I thought I might want the adjustable ones that Dr. Balish recommended.  Ellen looked up info on them as we drove to Costco.  She did more research while we went to Home Depot.

By then I was pretty sure I wanted them.  I called the surgery place.  They don't handle them.

Before lunch I installed the power cord winder in the basement of the trailer.  I think it's going to work pretty well.  The only downside is that it's heavy.  Then we had lunch.

After lunch it was time to drive to Portland at 1:15 on a Friday.  Great.  Luckily we only had to go to Tualatin.  Traffic was pretty good except through Wilsonville.  Southbound was a parking lot.  We got to the doctor about half an hour early.  We both read about cataract lenses as we waited.  By the time we were done I was convinced to cancel the surgery and get it done in Austin using the adjustable lenses.

I made up wiring harnesses for the cabinet lights while Ellen was with the doctor.  The doctor wants her to have a colonoscopy next week.  We had to drive to the other side of the freeway to a hospital so she could get a blood test.  By then it was after 5 and I5 was still a parking lot.  So we went to Claimjumper for dinner.

I had a couple of drinks.  Of course there was a lot of food.  We left with a box from dinner and another for most of the chocolate cake we ordered.  We stopped at Freddies on the way home for groceries.

It was 8 when we got home.  The evening was TV.  The new subwoofer really makes a difference in the TV sound.  I'll install it tomorrow.
