Day 1360

We got up about 8 today.  After pet stuff and breakfast I went out to drain the tanks.  The strange thing was that the handle for the black tank was about halfway pulled.  When I pulled it out all the way very little stuff came out.  What did come out came out slowly.

It took awhile, but I finally realized that all of the liquid had drained out because of the handle position.  That's bad.  I ended up filling and dumping the tank several times.  Not much came out except water.  I decided to fill up the tank about halfway and put in double chemicals.  I'll try dumping it again in a couple of days.

The next project was to change the kitchen faucet hoses.  Neither of us like the way the faucet handle works.  I had to remove a guard.  When I did, I found that the hoses were connected correctly.  We decided to keep it that way.  While I was doing that I noticed that the hot water connector was leaking very slowly.  I took it apart and put on Teflon tape.  That seemed to fix it.

By then it was time for lunch.  After that we left to see Gerry.  We had a typical conversation.  We're doing well.  We could spend more money if we wanted to.  We decided to move a little amount of stuff around, but mainly leave things the way they are.

From there we went to the cataract place.  They spent an hour putting me through a whole bunch of tests.  I finally got to see the doctor.  He's a shooter.  He suggested fixed lenses.  I told him I kind of wanted variable.  He said OK.  After some more tests I set up the appointments.  The first surgery is in a week.  The second is 10 days after that.  The whole thing took 2.5 hours.

I was planning on seeing Hooch.  Unfortunately there was a crash on I5 and 217.  So we decided to go home instead.  We'll be up there tomorrow anyway.

Tomorrow I'll have to cancel the other appointments.  I'll also have to deal with a bill from the emergency room visit.  It looks like they didn't bill the insurance.

Ellen fixed hamburgers when we got home.  After that it was TV until bed time.
