Day 1366

We didn't get up until 9:15.  After pet stuff and breakfast we left to do the wash.  While Ellen did the wash I went to the  hardware store and bought some parts for the plant protector.  When the wash was done we went to Safeway to buy some groceries.  They had fresh halibut on sale for $17/lb.  We bought some.

We stopped at the post office on the way home.  There was a fairly big check in the mail, so we drove back to Woodburn to deposit it.  We went to the Wells Cargo by Wally World.  It has been permantly closed.  So we put the money in the US bank across the street.

When we got home I had lunch.  Then I went out and finished installing the mounts for the compartment door struts.  Unfortunately I punched a hole in the outside of the door.  Also the struts were way too strong and bent the mounts.  So I'll need to order more struts.  I also patched the hole with some caulk.

With that done I went to the shed to work on the plant shield.  I put on a support for the door and the hinges.  That's when I realized that I hadn't gotten enough rubber feet.  So I went to Brooks and bought more.  When I got back I put on the feet and took it to the trailer.

My bad luck continued.  Both ends of the shield interfere with the window valences.  I'm going to have to cut them to fit.  I decided to leave that for another day.

Ellen fixed the halibut for dinner.  It was fantastic.  Someone came by to buy the engine lift.  We sold it for $50, we just want it gone.

The rest of the evening was TV and surfing.
