Day 1337

A junk phone call woke me up at 6:50.  I decided to just get up and get to work.  I started with pet stuff and breakfast.  Then it was off to work.

The first task was to find the key to the trap house.  I couldn't find the key collection.  I searched the whole trailer.  Then I remembered that I'd seen a plastic box under the bed yesterday that I didn't recognize.  I got it out  and found the keys.  I also found the $50 programmable remote control we thought we'd lost so we bought a new one.

I took the garbage in the Ranger to the dumpster and then went to the trap house.  I was surprised that there weren't any wasps.  I was also surprised by some of the things in it.  There was a whole 10x20 car shelter minus the fabric.  I'd forgotten I had it.

I spent four hours emptying the trap house.  It was a lot of work.  Much of the stuff was heavy.  About half of the stuff went to the dumpster - old paint, old gun cart, and some stuff I didn't recognize.  Dragging the engine lift out was a special treat.

I had to get out the hose to wash off everything I decided to keep or give to Goodwill.  By the time I was done the truck was full.  I ended up keeping a box of soft gun cases, some work stuff from Intel and Instromedix, and a couple of trailer items.  That's all.

While I was doing that Ellen was listing things - the engine lift, a calculator, a first edition K & R book, and an Intel doll.

I finished up exactly at noon.  I was really tired.  I went in to eat lunch.  Then we left for the hardware store and Goodwill.  Ellen bought paint and I got material for mounting the cargo door shocks and the bathroom cabinet.

When we got home Ellen painted.  I sorted out some more stuff for Goodwill and then cut out the shelves for the bathroom cabinet.  They came out great.  The least thing I did was measure and cut out the panels for the cabinet shock mounts.

After that I was really tired.  Like can't stand up tired.  My back was killing me, too.  I went inside to take a shower.  Cooper got out and climbed up under the truck bed.  I had to get the squirt bottle out to get him out.

After the shower I sat down in the recliner to watch TV.  That resulted in a short nap.  Dinner was some BBQ chicken spread.

One of the little aggravations has been the refrigerator door.  It doesn't close the door flap correctly on the left side.  That makes the refrigerator ice up because of the gap between the doors.  I looked in the instructions, but they didn't have any info on adjusting the door.  Ellen found something on the web that said add shims to the bottom of the door.  I looked at the refrigerator and decided to add shims to the piece that engages the flap.  It was a 15 minute fix that will make our lives much better.

The rest of the evening was TV - car shows.
