Day 1312

We got up at 7:30 this morning, did the pert stuff, and got to work.  The RV place is supposed to call us about when we'll get the new trailer today.

I happened to see Dave later as I was working.  I walked over to tell him we'd be by to pay.  He mentioned that Bob from the RV had called him to say he'll pick up the Mobile Suites tomorrow.  I don't know why he didn't call me.

It took awhile to get the guy's number.  I called and left a message saying that wasn't going to work.  He called back and we talked.  I explained that we weren't moved out and that we'd like to use it for storage until we have the new trailer.  He said that sounded good, but he had to check with the sales guy.

We kept working, with a little more urgency.  Ellen did some packing in both trailers.  I started moving stuff from the Cougar to the Mobile Suites.  We also did a run to the post office, Wally World, the bank, the donut shop, Goodwill, and AC Greasy.  Unfortunately Ellen didn't have the right key to get the title, so we'll have to go back tomorrow.

A little later Redmond called.  They want us to pick up the trailer on Saturday.  I said fine.  A little later Bob called and said he'd like to pick up the trailer on Friday.  Then we could do the "back to Medford" thing to pick up its contents later.  I said that wouldn't work because of the guns.  He understood and made it Monday.

I felt bad, so I called Hooch.  He agreed to come down for the guns tomorrow.  So I called Bob back and told him Friday was fine.  That also allowed us to spend time on the road with the new trailer.

It also meant that we had to work like dogs.  Ellen continued packing.  I started moving stuff from the Mobile Suites to the shed.  Even with all of the stuff that's gone to Goodwill, there's still a whole lot of stuff.  Basically it's all of the stuff we usually keep in the Cougar plus the stuff we'll eventually get to Texas.

We quit about 5.  I just couldn't do any more.  It hurt to sit.  After about 45 minutes I'd recovered enough to fix a TV dinner and feed the pets.  Ellen's asshole was giving her trouble, so she was staying in the Mobile Suites.

About 7 we went out for the rest of the boxes we'll need.  We also got some paper plates and an ice chest for use in the next few days.  We plan on spending 3 days in Sisters on the way back.  The RV place in Redmond is $100 a night.

It was 8:30 when we got home.  After a little surfing it was bed.
