We got up a little before 7 today. There wasn't any reason to. I just woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. After pet stuff and breakfast I got on Amazon. I put everything we needed for the trailer into the checkout cart. I didn't order it though because I was using the campground's WiFi.
I called Discount Tire at 8 when they opened. I got put on hold. After awhile I confirmed that they had the trailer tires. I made an appointment to get them installed in an hour.
We hooked up immediately. It went really easy. The hitch hooked up easy and the self leveling system worked really well. I like this new trailer.
It was an easy 40 mile trip to the store. Accessing the store was great. I had to wait awhile in line, but they started changing the tires as soon as I got to the front of the line. There was a Lowe's next door. I went over there and bought some more stuff for the trailer. They were just finishing when I got back. The new tires cost $1,000, but I really like the peace of mind.
We were done by 10. We were only 15 miles from the campground. It's checkin time was 2. We called to get in early, but they didn't answer their phone. We drove to a state park about 5 miles up the road to wait. It didn't have any place to wait, so we ended up on the side of the road.
After 2 hours on the side of the road it was noon and we were hungry. We drove to a small town, Tumalo. It turned out to have a really nice collection of roach coaches. They included a Japanese place and a beer place. I had yakisoba and an IPA. We hung around there until it was 2.
It was a short drive to the park. Unfortunately when we got there we missed the entrance. We had to drive to Sisters to turn around. I got on a street marked "no thoroughfare". I tried to do a 3 point turn around with the trailer, but there wasn't room. I did discover that the new trailer is much easier to back up than the old one. Then I noticed that there were trailers parked in the trees ahead. It turned out we were on an access road to a trailer park. We drove through it and out the other side to the highway.
We returned to the RV park and got checked in. It's a really nice place. I decided to follow the printed instructions for the self leveling. It made unhooking and setting up a snap.
After setting up I decided to install a shelf in the bedroom. It went OK, but I just don't have the tools I need. It also seemed that everything was fighting me. So I quit after one shelf. Instead I sat down in the recliner and woke up 1.5 hours later.
Dinner was leftover yakisoba. After dinner we took a walk around the park. It's a really big place. It's got a pool, a pond, mini-golf, two dog parks, and a kid's playground. Very impressive.
I logged on using the tablet and ordered the stuff from Amazon. I did a little surfing and then read for the rest of the night.
The refrigerator is giving us some worries. It doesn't seem to get very cold - mid 40's at the lowest temp setting. We'll have to keep an eye on it.
