Day 1335

We got up about 7:15, did the pet stuff and had breakfast.  Ellen's asshole was still giving her grief.  I cleared off the table so she could sew today and left a pile of mail for her to work through.  While  she was doing that I went out and moved the truck and Ranger out of the carport.

Once the vehicles were out I started cleaning out the carport so that I could move in some of the stuff in the trap house.  I moved Dave's dog box to his carport.  Then I went through the old Ranger store box.  It was so dirty I had to hose it off as well as some of the things inside.  I put most of the stuff in the Goodwill pile, but I kept some.

I also gathered a bunch of other stuff that was around the sides of the carport and either threw it away or put it in the Goodwill pile.  When I was done I intended to open up the trap house.  That's when I realized I could only do that when they weren't shooting.  Time to go to plan B.

I went back inside to make up a plan for securing the sofa cover.  What I initially envisioned wouldn't work because I thought the back of the sofa was stable.  It's not.  Ellen kept telling me that what I was planing wouldn't work.  I finally told her to do it anyway she wanted and left.

I moved some of the stuff from the shed into the basement.  It was mainly toilet paper (we have a lifetime supply) as well as the electric flamingo I bought and the wall art we got in Sisters.  That gave me a little more room to work in.  It's still really tight.

I decided to install the work drawer.  The drawer hardware was a lot more complicated than I thought it was.  It too a lot of time to figure out where all of the pieces needed to go.  It didn't help that the hardware was designed for a traditional drawer and I was using a bamboo silverware tray.  It took hours to get everything modified correctly and the hardware attached.  Unfortunately when I installed it all it ddin't quite fit.  There was another hour's work to reposition some of the hardware.  The final result works very nice though.

After the drawer was in I cleaned up the mess and put all of the Goodwill stuff in the old Ranger box.  Then the box went back into the carport.  I moved some of the stuff that used to be in the old work drawer from the shed to the trailer and put it in the drawer.  After that we fed the pets and went to dinner at Elmer's.  Then we stopped at Wally World to buy some stuff for the sofa project.  Ellen spent the whole time we were there in the can.

When we got home I moved the rest of the work drawer contents from the shed to the trailer.  I also put a few things in Goodwill.  The last thing I did was install the shade Ellen sewed today over the shower sky light.  That should insulate it a little and will keep me from being woken up by the sun at dawn.

I wasn't finished until 9.  The rest of the evening was ordering stuff we'll need on Amazon.
