We got up at 7:30, did the pet stuff, had breakfast, and collected the wash. We left for Portland at 8:15. The trip up was OK except for a little slowing near Washington Square. We got to the doctor on time and after a lot of paperwork we got in.
They put both of us through a lot of tests. Of course they figured out that my right eye doesn't work well. Ellen has a nerve they are watching. I had a talk with the doctor. Insurance will pay for my left eye, but not the super replacement lens. They won't pay for the right because it isn't bad enough. I told him I wanted super spiffy lenses in both eyes and would pay whatever it takes.
The bad news came with the scheduler. The first eye will be done on Sept 11. The second not until Oct. It will be Oct 18 before it's all done. We'll have to leave immediately to get back to Texas by Nov. 1. Oh well, maybe there will be a cancellation.
We got done about noon. We went over to see Mother. She seems to be doing pretty well. We ate lunch with her. We had a nice talk and left about 2. Traffic was backed up on 217 in Beaverton, and slow on I5. We stopped at Best Buy and bought a remote control. It was stop and go from there past Wilsonville. That's at 3 in the afternoon.
We stopped at the post office and left the dog at home. Then we went to do the wash. We got back home at 5:30. Ellen fixed sausage and hash browns for dinner. I hooked up power to the picture frame. That's the last thing to be done on the inside of the trailer.
After dinner it was TV - the Dodgers. I just don't feel like prepping for tomorrow, we'll just get a little later start tomorrow.
