Day 1330

We got up a little after 7:30.  After pet stuff and breakfast it was surfing.  Hooch really wanted to go somewhere.  He spent almost two hours getting the kids ready to leave.  So about 10 we went to Tumalo falls.

The place is about 30 miles away.  It's basically go back to Bend, turn left, and go about 10 miles.  The last 2.5 miles are a dirt road which is sometimes one lane.  When we got there the place was packed.  We had to park a quarter mile down the road. Then we had to walk up, buy a parking pass, and then walk back to the car to put it in the windshield.

We finally got started on the trail.  The first part is a steep climb up to the top of the falls.  The view from there is impressive.  From there we followed a trail along the river to two other falls upstream.  The walk was fairly easy, but it was all up hill.  We spent a lot of time waiting for Martha to take photos.  That was OK.
..
When we got to the uppermost falls there was a stray dog there.  He looked very forlorn.  Other people coming down the trail said that there was a couple farther up the trail looking for their dog,  So we kept going up.  We met the people about half a mile further on.  The dog was very happy to meet them.

We didn't stop much on the way back.  Whenever we did the mosquitoes would attack us.  I got bit three times.  We finally made it back to the car.  Lucy was so tired she could hardly walk.

We stopped at a beer place in Bend for beer and dinner.  After that it was a stop at Wally World for drugs for Alicia.  She's been sick for the last two days.  Then it was home.

I fed the animals and then took a nap.  I woke up at 7:30, did some surfing, and then took a shower and went to bed.
