Day 1319

I woke up at 6:30 today.  Luckily I managed to turn over and go back to sleep for another hour.  Then it was get up, do the pet stuff and have breakfast.

After that I decided to put the shelf in Ellen's cabinet.  We'll be packing things into the trailer tomorrow and that will make it easier.  When that was finished I started to attach the hook for the  power cable.  That's when I discovered that I needed bolts instead of screws.  It was 10 any way, so off to the hardware store.

The truck driver that was picking up the Mobile Suites called.  He wanted to know how to get into the trailer.  I told him that we'd given all of the keys to the people in Medford and all he needed was a 751 key.  I didn't hear from him again, so I guess he found one.  I'm not sure why he's calling me anyway.

We stopped at the hardware store first for bolts.  We also got copies of two of the three keys for a spare set of trailer keys.  Our next stop was the rock shop that was closed yesterday.  It was disappointing.  After that we drove around the side streets looking for interesting stores.  We ended up at a meat store.  Ellen found some cheese she liked and I found some meatloaf.  We decided to come back later to buy it.

We stopped at several stores, but didn't buy anything.  Today actually turned out to be a food day.  We bought some cinnamon bread at the bakery, had lunch at the hamburger place, and ice cream at the ice cream place.  The last stop was the meat market.

When we got back I used the bolts we'd bought to attach the hook for the cables.  I was going to put up hooks for the hose and TV cable, but I discovered that that side of the basement was just a cardboard wall.  It was out of alignment.  I straightened it out and put in a couple of braces to keep it in place.  That actually gave me another square foot of space in the basement.

After that I put everything away in preparation for leaving.  I was thirsty, so Ellen and I took the dog to the office to buy drinks.  Ellen got tea.  I got a pint and a half of 8% alcohol Hard Mike's.  We went back to the trailer and I sat down to drink and read.  After awhile I fell asleep.

When I woke up we watched TV for awhile.  Then Ellen fixed the meatloaf and hash browns for dinner.  After dinner I took the dog for a walk around the park while she cleaned up the mess she's made of the stove.

When we got back it was surfing and TV for the rest of the evening.
