I woke up at 6:30 again today, but I managed to go back to sleep for an hour. Then we got up, did the pet stuff, and hooked up the trailer. The auto leveling system made it really easy, a matter of pushing 2 or 3 buttons.
We were on the road by 8. I took it easy. I wanted to get the feel for how the new trailer tows. Besides, the highway goes through so many podunk towns that it doesn't make sense to try to hurry. The truck really does have to work harder to pull the trailer. It's really evident if I try to accelerate on a hill. The EGT's quickly get too high.
We got home about 10:30. We immediately started moving stuff from the shed to the trailer. The first task was to deal with the clothes. The clothes bar had come down and they were all on the floor. We piled them on top of the truck's bed cover. We didn't have anywhere else to put them. We moved the food we'd left and some of the clothes that had been hanging up.
We had to install the shelf liner before we could do much more. When it was in place we put some pet stuff and records away. We ran out of shelf liner, so we went shopping. We got the mail, drugs at CVS, more shelf liner, and another wire shelf at Lowes.
When we got back we worked until 8. I connected up the blu-ray player and the DirecTV to the main TV. I also hung the bedroom TV. Then I helped Ellen finish the shelf liner install. She was having problems with the tacks.
We've got a lot left to go, but we're too tired to do any more tonight.
