Day 1314

We got up at 5:45 today - no pet stuff or breakfast.  Instead we got ready to leave.  I dumped the Mobile Suite's tanks and put away it's power cord.  That made it ready to go.  Ellen put the rest of the bedding in plastic bags.  I put them and the valuables in the truck.  Then she packed up the refrigerator.

I hooked up the Cougar.  That's when we discovered that Lucy had disappeared.  We spent 15 minutes looking for her.  Ellen found her sitting in the Ranger.  We finally got out at 7:15.

The trip down was uneventful except that our first attempt at getting fuel failed because the station was closed.  It rained off and on the whole trip.  Sometimes it was pretty hard.

When we got to Medford about 11:30 we discovered that the RV place is really just a parking lot.  They do all of their sales on the web or at shows.  We just parked the rig there and took off for Redmond.  There was one disaster in Medford.  Ellen broke the phone car charger so she had to conserve battery for the rest of the trip.

The first 80 or so miles are a high pass on really old road.  Some parts aren't maintained well and it's all curvy.  One good thing was that there was no speed limit.  It's posted 55, but people were going as fast as 70.  We made good time.

The rest of the road was pretty good, and again we made time when we weren't following some asshole who wouldn't drive the speed limit.  The RV people called when we were two hours ouit to tell us what hotel to go to.  They also said that the new trailer has two AC's.  We thought it only had one.  Nice.

They put us up in a Comfort Inn.  It's really nice.  Carrying in all of the luggage, valuables, ice chest, and pet stuff wasn't.

I went out to Arby's for dinner and brought it back.  I stopped at NAPA for another USB charger.  They wanted $20 for one.  I told them to keep it.

I was early to bed.  I'm really tired and I want to get their breakfast before we go to the RV place.
