We got up at 8, did the pet stuff, and I had breakfast. Then we left for Rickreall. It was raining pretty hard for most of the trip. When we got there the parking lot was really full. We lucked out though and got a space near the front. Inside it was full, but not over crowded.
The first thing we did was get Ellen breakfast. I just had a muffin, since I'd already eaten. Then we started looking. It's a great show, with stuff you aren't going to see elsewhere. It's a lot of small dealers, lots of which are selling old firearms. There were no large new gun only places.
Prices were pretty reasonable, both on guns and ammunition. Several guys were running "sales" which bought their costs down to really reasonable. I bought a handguard from a guy who had a 10% off sale. I saw a really nice, 100 year old, 20 ga model 12. I was going to try to buy it, but then Ellen saw a AR she really liked. It had a blue and purple cerakote that changed color when you moved it. It was also built with some high end components. She decided to buy it, so I used my cash as a partial payment. That avoided the credit card charge. We also got her a nice red dot sight.
After that we drove up to Hooch's place. I helped him a little bit with trailer stuff. He has a lot of work to do and Martha isn't doing anything. At 4 we went to a church in Cedar Hills for a piano recital. Both girls played. They did well. 3 or 4 of the kids were really good.
Hooch wanted to go to Hall Street afterwards. That's when we discovered that it went tits up in Feb. So we went to Red Robin instead. After that we went back to his placed and talked for about a few hours. I played with the kids. We left about 10 and got home at 11. Lucy was really hungry. So were the cats.
