We got up at 7 today for a start of 8 for the class. After pet stuff and breakfast there was about 15 minutes of surfing before going to the club.
There wasn't a lot of classroom stuff in the morning. Instead we went out with volunteer students. I drew a father with a 10 year old son. The father was an OK shot and I got him on things pretty well. The kid was a different matter. He was pretty shy and too weak to handle his gun very well. I needed a lot of help from the lead instructor to get him to hit anything. After about 2 hours of that we had lunch.
After lunch we held a debrief where each person in the class offered their insights for the morning teaching. Then we went out with the head instructor again. The students and intermediates basically shot targets. The others did some diagnosing and listened as the head instructor gave advice. It doesn't sound like much, but I found it really helpful to watch him diagnose something and then describe the cure.
At 4 we all gathered at the 5-stand for a short competition. Two people from each group shot 4 birds, two pairs. It was miss and out. Vandy's team won.
After that we quit for the day. Ellen and I went home, had showers, and then napped. At 4 we went to a place by Key Bank to eat. It was nice.
The rest of the evening was a little TV and then bed.
