We got up at 8 today because we needed to pick up Dave's golf cart in North Plains. We did the pet stuff and had breakfast. Then we surfed for awhile waiting until Dave was ready. He had everything ready about 10:30.
His truck is really nice. It felt a little squirrely to me because of it's light suspension. Other than that it's a really comfortable vehicle and quieter than our car.
We made it up to North Plains in about an hour. There were absolutely no delays anywhere. The GPS worked fine and there was plenty of parking for the truck and trailer. We paid for the work (using Dave's card) and they helped load it on the trailer.
The drive back was uneventful, too. The trailer vibrated some at 65, but I wasn't going any faster than that anyway. We made it back by 1:00. Two and a half hours to drive up, load up and pay, and drive back. Not bad including a stop at the post office.
After that we had lunch. After that I went out to the shed and attached the accessories I got today to the .308. That's when I found out that the rings I brought with me didn't fit the scope I had. Oh well. So instead of bore sighting it, I bore sighted Ellen's gun. It's not a good job, because the flash suppressor is aluminum and the bore sight had to be put on top of it. I'm hoping we'll at least be on paper. Of course Ellen had to participate because it's a holo sight.
After that it was more surfing. It was warm today, low 80's, but the humidity made it seem much hotter. I did my exercises anyway.
Vandy invited us to dinner, so we surfed until 7. She fixed pork chops, beans, and potatoes on the Traeger. It was good.
We left there about 9. I felt sorry for the dog, so I took her for a walk around the course. She had a good time.
