Day 623

We got up at 7:30 because the class started at 8:30.  We did the pet stuff, had breakfast, did a little surfing and went to the club.

The class was pretty interesting.  A lot of it was familiar from the time I sat in it before.  It's different though this time because I'm actually trying to get my instructor's star.

After an hour or so of lecture we went out and practiced gun fitting on each other.  After that we all shot left handed at skeet targets to get an idea on how a new shooter feels trying to hit a target.  Then it was demonstrations of shooting styles and watching where a person is missing.  That took until lunch time.

After lunch it was time to do some shooting.  Dave had trap and skeet experts demonstrate the games and give a few beginner level tips on how to shoot the targets.

The last major activity was to break into small groups and go out on the sporting clays course.  The experienced guys practiced showing the new students how to hit what they missed.  It was interesting to see demonstrated how to get someone onto a target.

The last bit was shooting either trap or skeet.  I shot trap.  I still hate it.

After class we went back to the trailer and showered (it was warm today).  Then we went to a sushi place in Woodburn.  It was really good.

The rest of the evening was TV.  I went to bed early because I'm tired and tomorrow they want to start at 8:00.
