Day 621

I woke up at 7:30 today, but then went back to sleep for about half and hour.  Then it was a little surfing before getting up to do the pet stuff and have breakfast.  After that it was more surfing and some online shopping.  About 9:30 I called Joe.  He was there, so we went to get the truck.  The total bill was $1,000.  That's cheap if it keeps us trouble free on the road.

We came home after picking up the truck.  We went over to the club and talked to Dave about building barriers on the second level of the 5-stand.  We agreed on a design and we took measurements to determine how much material.  That took until about noon, so we went back to the trailer for lunch.

After lunch we went to Woodburn.  Ellen needed to pick up a prescription and we needed to deposit the check for the Ranger.  There is a lumber store in Woodburn, so we went there to price out lumber for the 5-stand.  The place doesn't carry pressure treated wood.  Oh well.  On the way home we stopped at Baumann's for strawberries and the post office.

The mount for the gun rack was at the post office.  So was the rear view mirror.  So when we got home I started to install the rack.  The new mount wasn't intended to mount the old rack.  I had to drill 4 holes in the old rack and use 3 inch bolts to attach it to the mount.  Then I had to cut the four "feet" off the bottom of the rack and grind them to make them smooth.  That all took hours.  At least the final bolting of the result into the Ranger went easily.

The mirror attachment was a breeze.  It actually works pretty well.

We went back to the club when I was finished.  I told Dave I'd get ballpark pricing tomorrow from Lowe's for the board meeting.  Then I left and Ellen stayed to help Vandy with Winscore.

I spent the rest of the evening on surfing, TV, and reading.
