Day 629

I slept in until about 8 today.  There wasn't anything time critical to do.  After pet stuff, breakfast, and some surfing I went out to finish the work on the Ranger.  I attached wire to one of the rear lights.  That's when I realized that I needed some clips for the wires.  I didn't have any.

Instead I wired the clock/temp/voltage gauge.  That went fairly well.  I took the opportunity to wire power leads for the radio that I'm planning on installing at some point.  Once that was done I reinstalled the dash.  That's when I discovered that the mounting holes for the window latch in the dash brace don't match up with where the latch needs to be.  Why did I think it would be different.  I wasn't going to mess with it, I just drilled 4 holes in the brace where they should be.  After that everything worked well.

After that I took Ellen on a short test drive.  Then we went to Woodburn for lunch (Chinese), the wire clips, and some groceries.  I forgot to buy the fuses I needed.  Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

When we got home I finished wiring up the rear lights.  I haven't tested them yet.  That and cleanup took until about 4:30.  I went inside to do some surfing.  I was hot and tired.  A little after 5 I went back out and did my exercises.  Then more surfing.

After dinner I watched a little TV and then walked around the course.  Lucy really wanted to do something.  She really had fun while we were out there.

When I got back I started shopping for a radio for the Ranger.  I think I can do radio, speaker, and radio enclosure for less than $100.  I can't seem to find a time delay relay though.
