Day 620

I woke up at 7:30 and got up before 8.  After pets stuff and breakfast we loaded up the car and went to the laundromat.  Today is ouir first "Portland Tuesday" and that's the first step.

When the wash was finished we went to Portland.  Traffic was OK.  We stopped at Hooch's place first.  We got the mail and put chemicals in the pond.  I unlocked the house and took the mail inside.  The place is immaculate.  It's the only time I've seen it that way.  Ellen texted Hooch after I re alarmed the house to make sure it worked.  It didn't seem to so we went back in and used the keypad instead of the remote.  That worked.

Then we went to pick up Mom.  I cleaned the cat box.  It looked like the cleaning hadn't worked at all.  The box was a mass of cat shit and piss.  It took quite awhile to clean.  It's amazing the cat would still use it.  Once that was done we took Mom to lunch.  She had a Cobb salad.  I'm amazed that she ate as much of it as she did.  I couldn't have done it.

I asked her if she wanted to go to the cupcake place for dessert.  She did.  She walked all the way over there even though it was a block and a half or more.  Ellen went with her, I got the car.  Ellen said she did really well.  She had a cupcake, Ellen and I had brownies.  We only ate half of ours.  I shouldn't have even done that.

Joe called while we were there.  he said the truck would be ready in the afternoon.  I told him that we'd be home too late to pick it up and we'd get it tomorrow.  He went into great detail on what they did, I bet it's expensive.

We took Mom home after dessert.  It was 2 and time to leave before traffic got ugly.  On the way back we stopped at Cabela's for magazines for Ellen.  I got a print one, too.  She also got a pair of pants.  It was 3:30 by the time we left and traffic at Wilsonville was stopped for a short distance.

We stopped at the post office and mailed Dan his shirt and the check for his friend.

When we got home I had Ellen pull while I did three rounds of trap.  I stated to move back.  I got to about 19 yards before I was missing enough so that I'm going to need to practice there for awhile.  Dave brought us a check for the Ranger while we were there, so when we were done we signed over the title.  I did my exercises when we got home and then had dinner.

After dinner we started to watch TV, but Lucy wanted to do something.  She stood in the middle of the living room barking.  So we walked around the course.  Lucy had fun.  We stopped at the new 5-stand and went upstairs.  It won't take much work to finish it.  I'll probably talk to Dave about it tomorrow.

The rest of the evening was TV and reading my $9 magazine.
