Day 3421

I woke up at 7 and got up for breakfast.  It was 50 degrees and of course the wind was blowing.  Hitching up went as usual and we were on the road by 8.

The trip today was 00 miles west on I40.  It went about as well as such a trip could.  It's I40, so a lot of 75 mph trucks were passing my 65 mph trailer.  Of course that was just until we got to a hill.  There were only two things of note.  First, we could have slept in.  We gained an hour due to a timezone change.  Second, the truck did a regen with a soot level of only 52%.  There was 330 miles since the last one though.  It was a really regen, down to 0%.

We got really good mileage - 10.9.  That's even with the regen and a 1,600 ft elevation gain over Amarillo.  We had about 11 gallons in the tank when we got to Albuquerque.  Yeah, no stops.

The park's OK, but nothing special.  We unhooked and then went looking for fuel and groceries.  We had to drive a little ways.  There was a Dutch Bros. on the way back and we stopped there.

When we got home I sat down for a short time watching videos followed by a 2 hour nap.  I'm amazed at how much driving takes out of me now days.  Getting old sucks.  When I woke up it was more videos until I got tired of them and switched to surfing.

We've got 2 days in Albuquerque.  Tomorrow well probably go to a dog park and sight see.  I want to shoot the next day.
